@ 66 pally - near badamtalla

Stain glass like installation:  Each image has been created in the following process:
  • draw out the design on a thick transparency using a medium marker pen
  • coat one side with sticker glue (calcicol)
  • crumple lots of coloured celophine paper, and then straighten it out
  • paste these straightened celophine papers on these transparencies
  • clean edges, peal pastage over wrong areas, re-apply calcicol to these areas
  • paste other coloured celophine papers, repeat 5 and 6 until the pictures is relevantly painted
  • mount image into cells using cords and holes punched into the transparency along the sides
  • paste black cord over the marker pen drawing

pictures below show the work in progress at the pandals and then the final show.  the pandal is about 140ft x 30ft in size.  to estimate the size of the installation or art-work, assume that each umbrella is about 3ft in diameter.  the large paintings are therefore about 20ft wide each.  There were a total of 10 large paintings, 5 on each side.
